At my best, I find blessings in every day life: a rare bird sighting, a chance to speak a foreign language, a smile from a stranger. A regular gratitude practice helps me to notice these small things, especially on the days when the noise of everything else rattles so loudly.
I write: articles, stories, and books.
I teach: grant writing.
I speak: French, Wolof, Serer, Portuguese, Hindi and MBA-speak. Sometimes in front of groups with the goal of inspiring.
I eat: a vegetarian diet.
