At my best, I find blessings in every day life: a rare bird sighting, a chance to speak a foreign language, a smile from a stranger. A regular gratitude practice helps me to notice these small things, especially on the days when the noise of everything else rattles so loudly.
Four things I can’t live without: writing, teaching, learning and my family. All of the other things I do revolve around those.
This blog is the public portion of my gratitude practice, where I write about the things from which I am thankful. Topics that come up a lot are entrepreneurship, social media, digital marketing, vegetarianism, bilingualism, and birds.
I teach marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Division of Information Technology. I received my MBA from the Wisconsin School of Business and have a lot of Badger pride and love.
