Wii Love Family Video Games

Thanksgiving weekend at the Krueger house was marked by two major activities: intense bouts of activity on the new Wii and then intense bouts of rest watching The Office on DVD.  Something about the Wii reignited my love of video games, and now I can’t help but look forward to trying to get the high score in all the sports over Christmas.  To be perfectly honest, I have been going to gym with more frequency because I want to be sure that the Wii Fit doesn’t give me the third degree about gaining any weight between then and the next time I play.   Is it normal to be threatened by the disappointment of a virutal trainer?

I am grateful for the Wii and how much fun we had playing it together over Thanksgiving – and how much I am looking forward to doing it again.  I am also thankful for my dad, who always usurps the set-up of any new electrical devices, swears in frustration throughout the whole process, and pays great attention to detail, ensuring we never have to worry about malfunctions.  The photo below is of the cord phase of the Wii set up.  Amy is being the brave child of the moment, because what you can’t see are the curses spewing off the pursed lips of dad,  and me, avoiding work and conflict by hiding on the stairs, taking pictures.
